ABOUT US
CapRescue is a community-based, not-for-profit, air ambulance service. We rapidly and efficiently deploy medical and rescue teams to major accidents, workplace incidents, and inter-hospital transfers. We’re also tasked to counter disaster and search and rescue missions.
We serve the following areas:
- North to St Lawrence
- West to Alpha
- East of the Capricorn Coast – 110 NM
- South to Miriam Vale/Agnes Water
We cover 350,000 km2 (the size of Germany!) & serve over 300,000 people. We average 1.4 rescues per day and have saved over 11,000 lives.
Demand for our service continues to grow. We operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, at no cost to the patient.
We are grateful for the 70% government funding we receive; however, the remaining 30% that we need to raise from the community amounts to over $4 million.
